Atmospheric Flurry
2015
“Atmospheric Flurry” relates to meteorological conditions indigenous to the city of Seattle. This project will highlight these environmental features in an underpass, a space that is often removed from the natural world. As drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists move along the Mercer Corridor they enter an illuminated passageway containing abstract, interactive imagery based on a rainstorm. This Moiré patterning is designed to create the experience of the ever-changing weather patterns of Seattle.
